Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Forgotten Highlander: My Incredible Story of Survival During the War in the Far East (Paperback)
This was purchased as a gift for my brother who reads loads about WW2 and the atrocities that happened during that time. However, he wasn't that impressed with this book saying that it was "a bit boring in places". I can only rate this book based on my brother's opinion.

Perhaps Mr Urquhart should have suffered more interesting atrocities so as not to bore your brother.

I've only just read your comment or would have replied before. The atrocities were not of course boring and I'm a bit surprised you would be sarcastic over such awful incidents that happened during that time. The "boring in places" I referred to were pages (according to my brother) that had nothing to do with what the book was supposedly describing and really seemed to be used as "fill in". I hope this clarifies things for you.
