Engines of war,
This review is from: Engines of War: How Wars Were Won and Lost on the Railways (Paperback)
If you are interested in military history but know little of railway history, then I believe you will be both entertained and learn a lot from this book - as I certainly was and did.
The author clearly sets out his (and the book's) limitations early on and succeeds within them. My only criticism is that I wish he had been a little more ambitious and written a longer book.
