Good songs! (1986-2001 only),
This review is from: Tom Waits: Anthology (Piano, Vocal, Guitar) (Paperback)
It's Tom Waits so it's bound to be great, but in all honesty not that great a collection of songs.
And a lot of filler, for instance you have guitar led "Hold On" off of mule variations but no Piano led "Come on Up to the House" which I thought would've been a more obvious choice than the banjo led "Chocolate Jesus". There are a lot of instances of this. I also made the mistake of hoping there would be a lot of the earlier stuff (On The Nickel/Burma Shave/Kentucky Ave etc.) but this collection is 1986-2001. I assume that these would feature in the older looking, 1st anthology
Enjoyable though - Time on Piano sounds amazing, as does Tango Till They Sore
