Matured with Age,
This review is from: The Rip Tide (Audio CD)
Zach has matured with age. The album is more subtle than the previous 3 and requires a keener ear. There are less instruments, more of a pop feel and the best arrangements yet.
He has left his more 'pompous' baritone voice behind and the cracks in his voice show his human side. After listening to the album I have warmed to Zach as a person not just a musician.
Highlights include A Candle's Fire, Sante Fe and the best song of Beirut's so far, Rip Tide.
An amazing arranger, musician and story teller and so very young.
