3.0 out of 5 stars But where are the rest ?, 1 Nov 2007
This review is from: The Definitive Ealing Collection [DVD] (DVD)
Ealing made around a 100 films but the same 20 or so get continually trotted out in various repackaged box sets. As good as these films are what we want to see are all the other Ealing films on DVD , even if they are only limited runs. There are enough Ealing film fans Worldwide to justify their issue so what`s the problem ?

In reply to Mr Frank L Bland. I entirely agree. I have been serching on the web, and sent many eMails to loads of film distributors to find one film, but to no avail. The film I want to buy is "The Halfway House" (1944). Made at Ealing Studios. Producer, Michael Balcon. Director, Basil Derden.

Stars, Francoise Rosay. Mervin Johns and his daughter Glynnis. It's about a Haunted hotel.

If anyone can help me find this film, as I wish to buy it, then I will be a happy man, as it's for my wife.

Thanks

Thomas Powell (TOMMY)

I would like to second that, as i have an old friend[and his daughter]who would both like to see "THE HALFWAY HOUSE"[1944]
released on dvd-i have searched many dvd web sites for this very film for my friends. But[annoyingly]as of yet to no avail.
By the way i am NOT anywhere near the age of above two friends-but i do like the old movies-and so i am keen on buying this
very film for them[when it does eventually get released onto dvd format].
