This review is from: National Geographic: Wild Babies [DVD] (DVD)
This single DVD is a wonderful insight into the survival of a selection of young animals - such as cheetahs, lions, elephants and condor chicks. The focus is on how these species are adapted to overcome the odds and survive, sometimes with a bit of help from man. It is sad in parts, but overall, it presents a more postive look at mankind's contribution to the survival of wildlife rather than demise as is often the case. (I should also mention the DVD does carry a warning that some younger viewers might find some of the scenes disturbing). As ever with National Geographic, the filming is top quality (but 4:3 aspect ratio) although, the DVD itself is rather short at under 50 minutes. However, this makes an ideal stocking filler for anyone interested in the natural world. Recommended.
