This review is from: Touch - Season 1 [DVD] (DVD)
This was good at the beginning, but then it got completly boring!!
so this is why i went to watching Alcatraz and that was twice as good as this, so i looked on the internet and it says that it will not be carrying on and that Touch would be replacing it with another series!! WTF!!! CANT BELEVE IT, THEY DIDNT EVEN FINISH ALCATRAZ IN THE FINALE SO I WANTED TO KNOW THE ENDING AND NOW I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIND OUT BECAUSE OF THIS RUBBISH PROGRAM!!!
I also liked the program Terra Nova and I have also found out that this wont continue because of this program!!
I REALLY HATE THIS PROGRAM!

G. Williams says:
This is more of a rant than a review.. not helpful at all. The failure of Alcatraz to hold peoples attention has nothing to do with this show, I lost interest rapidly in BOTH series, however I did enjoy Terra Nova and it's a shame that it won't be coming back. The companies who make these shows do NOT care about fans, they ONLY care about money - if the show isnt making the cash it gets cut - end of....

Touch wasn't to blame for the cancellation of Alcatraz and Terra Nova, to explain further. Alcatraz lost about 60 percent of its audience by the finale. It started at 10 million viewers for the premiere, and ended on 4.75 million for the finale. The numbers just weren't sustainable. Fox like any other network wants their shows to find an audience, the fact the show never found its footing and kept shedding viewers didn't help it at all. I myself liked Alcatraz too.
Terra Nova was a hugely expensive series, with a budget of 4 million dollars an episode. The numbers, although they made Fox money, just didn't give them much faith in renewing it incase they collapsed. This show easily must of cost Fox 60-70 million for the 13 episodes that were made in regards to budget. If you want to blame something in regards to the show, blame the fact it was the most expensive network tv show in many years, which didn't do it any favours.

With all due deference to Mrs M.J. Tyler, ALCATRAZ wasn't exactly that good either. I like TOUCH, because it least it tries to do something slightly different: neither a crime show, nor a legal drama, nor purely a human ensemble drama. There's a concept in the show that could well turn out to be genuinely interesting - namely the impact of numbers, patterns and logic on our lives.
ALCATRAZ was a great premise, but turned into nothing more than a mundane "who do we get to chase and capture this week" show, hence why it was cancelled. Viewers fled in droves, and although I stuck it out, at the end of the final episode, it was all a bit ho-hum and disappointing, and left me with a "So, what was the point of all of that?" at the end.
So, I'm kind of glad TOUCH will be back.
One final point, if I may: belittling other viewers who do like a show that you don't like, doesn't exactly make you come across as a nice, balanced individual. By all means criticise the show, but don't criticise the people who watch it. It makes you look bitter and twisted! Moreso, in reviews on the internet!
