too much ego,
This review is from: Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia (Paperback)
After reading this book I feel like meeting this kind of person that you were introduced to just two hours ago and you already know everything about... Although certainly this book has a deep message I was constantly irritated by the way Gilbert expresses herself. The way of writing, especially the similis that Gilbert uses made me feel that the book could have been written by a teenager but not a grown-up woman. As it was mention before the book is more one woman's experience than a travel guide. I found this book a little bit too much self-centered.
Anyway I have to say I really liked some sentences, mostly said by the people Glibert met, not by herself. I expected something more buying this book but still it was entertaining.
