DID EVERYTHING I ASKED OF IT,
This review is from: Reflex Easy Street Unisex Folding Bike (Sports)
I had a project that required a lot of combination train & bike trips, and figured a folder would be the best way to tackle it. The Easy Street offered the best range of features for my rather tight budget (I opted for a slightly older version).
PROS: with its decent-sized wheels the Reflex fairly zips along (like riding a Moulton, if anyone remembers them); six gears are enough for most purposes (although really steep climbs will defeat it); the bike folds away in seconds into a size that will get it onto any train.
CONS: being at the cheaper end of the market the bike is pretty heavy, and you don't want to carry it very far in folded configuration; the handlebar folding mechanism can "bite" you if you're not careful; on delivery the seat-post was extremely slack and required a lot of work with a torque wrench to get it to stay put; instructions supplied were purely generic for Reflex bikes and had no information specific to folders - not very helpful for the neophyte.
I put the Easy Street through the wringer, racking up several hundred miles in just a few weeks, and it coped superbly - only maintenance required was keeping air in the tyres and a spot of lube on the chain. Overall, great fun to ride & very practical - highly recommended if cost is an issue.
