MUST BE GOOD COS IT'S THE JAM INNIT? WELL SORRY, BUT NO, ONE GOOD SONG DOESN'T MAKE A GREAT OR EVEN GOOD ALBUM. ALL THE PEOPLE WHO GIVE THIS ALBUM 4 OR 5 STARS SHOULD HAVE A LONG HARD HONEST THINK ABOUT HOW INSPIRING THIS ALBUM REALLY IS. PERSONALY, LISTENING TO IT NOW 25 YEARS OR SO SINCE I FIRST HEARD IT, I FIND IT DULL AS DITCH WATER. HAS A MORE BANAL SONG THAN "IT'S TOO BAD" (LYRICALLY OR MUSICALLY) EVER BEEN WRITTEN? I DOUBT IT. ENGLISH ROSE MAKES MY TOES CURL. DULL, DULL, DULL.

HBMAN is obviously not a Jam fan.He does not appreciate brilliant music and lyrics. How can he say ITS TOO BAD is banal? Maybe he should go and buy himself a WHAM or BAY CITY ROLLERS album

All Mod ConsWhen I think about it,the lyrics to It's Too Bad don't take a genius to scribe.True as it is,and I can't stand Weller,it's still a good tune,as is the rest of said LP.

HBMAN I really believe that you should stop embarrassing yourself publicly by continually posting nonsense reviews on this site and just concentrate on your potty training and learning to write without using crayons. Your comments are those of a sub normal dim wit with the mental dexterity of a baked spud.

Growing up in the era of "the Jam" you would understand how music reflected aspects of our society at the time, they were a very young working class band who made some very interesting catchy pop songs with some clever lyrics, the whole of the punk/new wave era was an important movement in music in fact there hasn't been anything quite like it since , Paul Weller has endured the test of time and still makes good music not many musicians from that era have such a solid body of work.
