This review is from: Scrabble Board Game (Toy)
This might call itself Scrabble Original, but it isn't. The Scrabble sets I played on as a lad all had wee holes in the board and pegs on the tiles so that the game wouldn't be ruined by the slightest knock. Sadly no more. It also comes in a stupidly huge box to make storage unnecessarily awkward. Disappointing.

This reviewer obviously does not have a long enough memory. The original Scrabble DID NOT HAVE HOLES IN THE BOARD and DID NOT HAVE PEGS ON THE CORNERS OF THE LETTERS. The version with these mods was much later. The original board had no holes, the original tiles had no pegs and the original sets had wooden letter racks and yes, the board could be disturbed by knocking it but why would anyone need to?

I think the reviewer is talking about the original version of Travel Scrabble, which had the holes in the board & pegged letters

You are talking about an old version of travel scrabble you fool. Look one up on ebay, I have one and it is good, but this is the original version. It's your memory that gets one star here.

Cw Nicholson - wow! That was a pretty aggressive response - got out of bed the wrong side on 12 Jan 2010, huh? Not sure who actually looks more foolish...
