Customer Review

5.0 out of 5 stars The Blu-Ray version, 19 Jan. 2014
This review is from: Pretty Woman [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I would never dream of criticising this film in any way as to it,s merits and the Blu-ray version is a step up on the standard product, BUT, it is not the best of blue ray quality viewed on a large screen on which I am used to seeing every line and wrinkle on actors faces, this version is not the best quality that there is.

Please let me know if it is Region Free, Amazon says it is Region B locked but the Blu-ray.com says it is Region Free.

My copy, not bought from Amazon ( a Blu-Ray ) plays on the Panasonic DMR-735 recorder and the Panasonic cinema system this unit I know is quite tolerant, I am sorry that I can not be more specific than this. I have never had any problems with region free discs that I have bought from Amazon on any of my players.

Thanks for your reply, my concern was to check on the back cover if they have mentioned about the Region A,B, or C. Could you please check the back cover of Blu-ray and see if there is B or A or nothing?

My copy, that was bought from the now defunct Liverpool store H M V and is marked A B &C set in a triangle. A point of interest here hopefully not irrelevant, this disc is only a slight increase in quality up from the standard disc when upscalled on a blu ray player and is similar in quality to the steel book version of the film: Heat : not worth the extra money, however if you have the standard version of the film To Catch a Thief here the situation changes the blu-ray version offers an incredible improvement. With films made from the 1950s to the 1990s you often take pot luck, hope you sort your problem out, John Bentley.

Thanks much, Got my answer what I was expecting for. Have watched this movie several times on HD channels and also recorded it. Now want to include it in my Blu-ray collection. Thanks again.
