1)Lucie has been scared of crocodiles since she saw Peter Pan as a child.
2)Sobek is a planet once home to a crocodile-like race, who had a civilisation spanning 10000 years.
3)Katarina Olsson has previously appeared in several Big Finish audio plays including the previous Eighth Doctor audio season as the Headhunter.
4)Giles Watling is the brother of Deborah Watling who played the Second Doctor's companion Victoria Waterfield. Their father Jack Watling played Professor Edward Travers in (Tv: The Abominable Snowmen & The Web of Fear.
5)Sean Biggerstaff previously appeared as Chris Parsons in the Big Finish remake of Shada starring Paul McGann & Lalla Ward.
On the isolated planet of Indigo 3, far out in the wastes of the Blue Desert, lies the Sanctuary of Imperfect Symmetry, It is a place of contemplation & reflection, It is also a place of death were a certain Blue Police Box has just landed.
Something from another time, from another world, has found its way inside the hallowed walls. Something with a leathery hide, a long snout and sharp pointy teeth. Tick Tock. Here comes the crocodile...
Writer Marc Platt has weaved his magic & delivered a very entertaining fast paced 60 minute adventure here adding some great snappy dialogue as the Eighth Doctor & Lucie battle against marauding crocodilians, some very strange nuns & the prospect Lucie may have to shave her head & become a nun.
Sometimes Marc Platt's stories can be quite surreal & confusing (Ghostlight, cough cough) this one has a surprisingly clear narrative & an engaging plot about champions, missing skulls, battles & race memories, which allows actor's Paul McGann & Sheridan Smith to truly standout & share great chemistry thanks too writer Platts ability for witty dialogue between the two leads.
Theres excellent performances from the Guest Cast too, Art Malik is superb as Abbott Absolute while Barbara Flynn is especially good as Sister Chalice, her interplay with Malik's Abbot proves very amusing & a great dramatic double act.
Overall, The Skull Of Sobek is a entertaining Eighth Doctor audio adventure which is pacy & has a engaging intriguing mystery to tell & while theres a lot to pack into this play's 60 minutes running time the presentation is never muddled as writer Marc Platt has written a clear stuctured narrative here & is a highly recommended listen.

Great review timelord007.
Sobek is also an Egyptian god, associated with a Nile crocodile, and usually depicted as one, or as a human with a crocodile head. Just another piece of information for you.
