Adequate for a simple conversion,

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I am designing a conversion for my garage (into a sitting room). I thought this program sounded ideal, because I'm no architect or designer and I really needed something that would make it easy for me. I've used Chief Architect before and found them to be okay. I actually wanted a plan that I could print out and give the builders, plumbers etc. to follow.
It loaded up well enough BUT not until I'd given it lots of personal information and registered it. I hate this kind of thing: not being able to access a program without supplying it with your personal information. I've learned to tell fibs and give it non-existent email addresses etc. (most of these kinds of programs will accept addresses like xxx@xxx dot com, believe it or not!!) but I do feel it's not acceptable to have to supply anything before you can access a program you've bought.
Anyway, once past that stage, the program itself is quite good - for my basic needs anyway. I was able to set up the room sizes and add the windows and doors etc., and ended up with a pretty good plan - good enough to offer the builders, anyway, plus it allowed me to see if my plans would work in practice.
It offers various views, which are quite good, and the program itself offers far more functionality than I need. When I tried to design a new house (just out of interest) I began to get a bit muddled and didn't find it very easy. But then I suppose designing a whole house would be more complicated... But some things just didn't seem to work at all, and others just confused me.
Overall I'd say a good product for a small project such as a conversion like I'm doing.
