This review is from: Pretty Boy (Hardcover)
I have read many books by villians, fighters and other unique people but can honestly say that I have never read a book that has kept me gripped from start to finish as did Roy Shaws story. I grew up in Bethnal Greens East End and also Dagenham so can relate to so many things that Shaw talks about in his book. This book could not have been written by anyone other that the person that has been there, done it and has the T.Shirt. I have written five books myself so know how hard it is to open your heart to complete strangers, however sometimes it is the only way that it can be done in order to get your side of the story across. I commend Roy Shaw for also including the caring side of his nature along with going full steam ahead-no holds barred when talking about his darker side. This really is the best book I have ever read in my life and suggest that anyone thinking about persuing a life of crime, to read this book to see just what may be round the corner waiting for them. If you only ever get time to read one book then this is the one to get. Jamie O'Keefe Author of 'Thugs, Mugs and violence' and 'What makes tough guys tough'
