Good machine but with faulty water tank,
This review is from: De'Longhi BCO255 Pumped Combi Coffee Maker (Kitchen & Home)
Makes reasonably good espresso. There are two small problems.
1) As mentioned by other reviewers, the expresso water tank suffers from a serious design fault. If you take it out to refill it then, because of a fault with the valve at the bottom, a significant amount of water leaks out of the bottom of the machine onto the work surface. Contrary to what's been reported by another reviewer, this is NOT solved by ensuring that the tank is replaced 'properly'.
Once it's in place the water stops leaking. Therefore a solution to the problem is to fill it in-situ using a jug. Not really a show stopper.
2) The plastic gasket that makes a seal between the expresso filter holder and the filter itself, is likely to need replacing over time (pretty standard with this type of machine). The problem is that the DeLonghi UK website doesn't list this among the available replacement parts and a 'google' didn't produce anything. If I were buying this machine again I'd give DeLonghi a call first to see if this part is likely to be available in the medium term.
I paid £39.99 for this machine and at that price I can live with the above.
