4.0 out of 5 stars USB 3.0 BUG in most haswell motherboards., 1 Aug 2013
Its a great processor but keep in mind that most current chipsets (Z87) in circulation have a bug that can prevent USB3 drives from working after waking up from sleep. You have to physically reconnect the drive or it just wont respond!

There's a way to find out which revision motherboard you have using "CPUz":
[...]

If you don't intend on using usb 3.0 storage devices in the near future you should be fine, I guess I'll wait a little while before the new C2 revision motherboards arrive (Due mid august).

Just thought you guys should know, Intel haven't been very transparent about this issue.

I still gave it a fair score of 4 stars out of 5. I just wanted to let people know of the bug because Intel have not been as transparent as I would have liked.

Like I said in the review it's still a great processor, I just don't want people to buy the CPU and then any old motherboard if they happen to have USB 3 HDD's ^^

Review not in the wrong place, as CPU's need motherboard's before they can work. Buyers therefore need to know of any possible motherboard conflicts with the CPU.

I think Intel have been VERY transparent - ie they have not released any information. Or are you using the BBC/politicians' re-definition of the word 'transparent'. No, it does not add to the thread, but will help good English speakers to understand the comment which was made.
