Hamilton Does It Again !!!!!,
This review is from: Pandora's Star (Commonwealth Saga) (Hardcover)
I read the Nights Dawn Trilogy and was greatly impressed. When I bought Pandoras Star I expected more of the same and I wasn't disappointed!
As with the the first book of the Night's Dawn Trilogy, The Reality Dysfunction, you need a little patience as Hamilton introduces the characters, locations, etc. At first, many of the things in the story make you think "where is he going with this?" Then as the story unfolds it very quickly gathers pace until you cannot put the book down. Your mind will want to read non stop until the end. I don't want to put anything in about the plot as I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it.
As a fan of Sci-Fi films/TV programs, Hamilton was the first Sci-Fi writer I had ever read and I was greatly impressed with the depth of the characters and the plots in his books. Pandoras Star is of the same calibre.
For those who loved Night's Dawn, this new series (apparently to be concluded in the next book, Judas Unchained) will be for you and I urge you to add it your collection as, like me, you shouldn't be disappointed!!
