4.0 out of 5 stars Wireless HDMI Transmitter System, 4 Oct. 2011
This review is from: Wireless HDMI WHDI Transmitter System up to 30 Meter , FULL HD 1080p 5G Wire less , AV TV LCD Beamer HDMI , up to 1x input and 1x output devise , without qualitylost up to 1920x1080pixel by 30 / 60 fsp Hz (Electronics)
I was initially dubious about spending £150 on what appeared to be reasonably new and un-tested technology. Can a signal from a HDMI cable really be transmitted wirelessly and maintain its quality?

Answer is most definitely Yes.

I have this piece of kit set up to stream SKY HD and Playstation 3 signals (additional kit required for the 2 inputs) from my front room to my kitchen.

The distance between the transmitter and the receiver is approximately 9 / 10 metres. The equipment is responsive, connects and displays a picture within 2 seconds from mains power. So far it has only suffered from interference when placed inside my glass / high black gloss tv cabinet in the front room. It therefore sits behind the cabinet and there is no line of sight between the transmitter and receiver.

The picture via this equipment displayed on the television in the kitchen (42" Panasonic L42E30B) is excellent. Friends and family ask where the Sky box is connected to it, there is also no lag between viewing a programme in the front room and via this equipment. I have even had a friend count the seconds of a football match in the front room whilst I watched / checked the picture and time in the kitchen.

Playstation gaming provides the same results, due to the Bluetooth connection between the controllers and the PS3 this can also be operated on the remote television.

The only reason this product does not receive 5 stars is due to the fact that not all items listed in the manual were included in the box. I was missing a remote control and stands for the transmitter and receiver. This did not provide an issue for me but obviously for some people it would.

Summary: Very good piece of equipment for extending high quality video / audio signal without the need for very long HDMI cables.

KYS says:
Thank you for your good review details. Please let me know:
1. Does it need a HDMI splitter for the Sky box to connect to 2 TVs?
2. Can the second TV use a Remote control to change channel?
3. Would there be any interference and bad signal if there is wall separation or the second TV is in a room upstairs?
Many thanks.
