Good drive - only 1 yr warranty,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: WD Green 4TB Desktop 3.5 inch Internal SATA Hard Drive (Personal Computers)
quiet, cool, and reliable so far. However the WD web-site says Drive is out of region and no warranty!
Should be described an non-UK drive.

Anything sold within the EU must have a 2 year warranty that has actually been the law since 1999. Any supplier not stating this is actually breaking he law.

Were the goods sold from within the UK - it could have come from a supplier based outside the EU
The EU directive is for two years only - under UK law you can claim up to 6 years from date of purchase (only 5 in Scotland) - If an item fails after 6 months it is up to you to prove that the fault is not through misuse - the Sale of Goods Act is law in the UK and should be applied if needed - seek advice from Citizens Advice or another body that can advise you of the law in the UK
