totally unbalanced by its track listings,
This review is from: Classic Rock (Audio CD)
This latest compilation does the term "Classic Rock" no justice as the 3cd set is hardly balanced well to be considered a good compilation this makes the Air Guitar series look even better on paper, cd1 starts off brighlty with Alice Coopers "Schools Out" and Budgies "Breadfan" which is offset by some weird inclusions of a bit of AOR from Foreigners "Urgent", and the punkisms of Iggy Pop's "Lust for life".
Disc 2 is another strange brew firstly track 1 rushes off into the New Wave Of British Heavy Metalisms of Iron Maiden's "can i play with madness" and then veering off into another direction with Jeff Beck's "Cause we've ended as lovers" and Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" then going head first again into Kiss's "Crazy Crazy Nights".
Disc 3 nearly keeps this questionable compilation from falling apart at the seams as tracks at the far end with Yes's "owner of a lonely heart", ZZ Top's "Tush", etc making the disc decent enough for a few listens but its another compilation designed to get people to throw away their cash expecting somthing to come good with the words classic rock for which i was silly enough to purchase in the first place!
