One of the best fitness techniques around,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: ViPR - 12kg (Misc.)
Being a gym instructor and personal trainer I have used my fair share of 'gimics' and I was a bit dubious at first about the reasoning behind the ViPR. But having got a 12kg and a 20kg I now understand why.
They are not designed for compound exercises such as dead lifts and cleans (although there is no reason why you cannot do these exercises) the idea is you bring more dynamism into your training. For example bounds, jumping, side steps and more powerful movements.
The nature of movement while you use the ViPR means that it uses more muscle groups (specifically in your back) and therefore limits the risk of injury. But as like all gym equipment make sure you have got professional advice before undertaking any exercise.
But the main advantage for me is the design of the ViPR, its hollow and rubber shell means it can be thrown on the floor without any risk of damaging either the floor or the ViPR and being able to throw it brings to light a wide range of possible exercises.
I would not recommend one of these to those who are inexperienced as proper training and understanding of muscles and movements is required. But to those who have either seen them at various gyms, or have a decent understanding of weight training and cardiovascular fitness I think this product is one of the best things you can buy.
