Track Info

1) Tilt - Angry Skies (Tilts Re-activation mix)

"Angry Skies was originally conceived as the follow up single to Invisible. A big vocal trance tune with Mick Park & Maria's lyrical content covering a stormy relationship.

Jerry from Hooj at the time wasn't feeling it and had moved on to another sound for the label. It was then released under Maria's name on another label with Tilt giving full production credits. Here is the re-worked Tilt version"

Written by John Graham, Mick Park, Mick Wilson & Maria Naylor. Produced by Tilt. Remix by Andy Moor & Mick Park.

2) If This Is Love

"Halfway through the writing of the Explorer album Mick Park spent the weekend at the Glastonbury festival. PJ Harvey turned in a jaw dropping personal and heartfelt performance. One the songs in her set spoke about the definition of Love. This was Mick's lyrical response."

Written & Produced by Andy Moor & Mick Park. Vocals by Lianne Brookson.

3) Dublin Kicks

"The best night of your life... so the story goes; Mick Wilson's 30th Birthday party. One drunken trip to U2's penthouse hotel room in Dublin, lots of models, lots of substances & lots of people in the hot tub (9 is a record apparently)..."

Written & Produced by Mick Park, Mick Wilson & Soul Mekanik.

4) Southern Sky

"The big growling basslines which found such favour at the time set the ominous undercurrent. A metaphor for the troubles and contrasting to the lyrics which were written sitting around the desert in Israel."

Written & Produced by John Graham, Mick Park, Mick Wilson.

5) Come Closer

"This Madonna song was left over from the Ray Of Light album sessions. A shared publisher connection introduced it to us and here is the result. "

Written By Madonna. Produced by Mick Park, Mick Wilson & Kelvin Andrews.

6) Walking Away

"This song is literally about walking away from a bad situation... We even tried to get the tempo to match that of walking. John Elliot graces the track with his vocals. "

Written & Produced by John Elliot, Mick Park, Mick Wilson & Maria Naylor.

7) Rising Son

"Another track that didn't quite fit onto the Explorer album. Downtempo and melodic. "

Written & Produced by Andy Moor & Mick Park.

8) In This World

"We were deep into sessions for an album with Hooj that never was. You

can here that we were obviously listening to a lot of Massive Attack around this time... John Elliot again on the melancholic vocal, focusing on growing up as a male in a changing culture"

Written by Mick Park & Mick Wilson. Produced by Mick Park, Mick Wilson & Soul Mekanik.

9) Invisible (Supernatural Mix)

"Legend made this. We never even gave this mix a name, but years of web chat rooms did. It was originally only done as a special one off edit for Paul Oakenfold. He used it on his Essential Mix Cuba in 1999 and the requests have never stopped since. Up until one month ago we thought a copy didn't exist. We were even planning to re-create it, Korg Trinity and all... Then at the very last minute the only copy of the DAT supernaturally appeared at a friend's house. We had to include it and we couldn't dare call the mix anything else."

Written & Produced by John Graham, Mick Park, Mick Wilson & Dominique Atkins.

10) I Know Your're Afraid

"John Graham left Tilt around 2001 but we always remained good mates. Just before the Explorer sessions the three of us winged it over to Warrington and this breakbeat epic popped out. Just like old times."

Written & Produced by John Graham, Mick Park, Mick Wilson
