Tough, safe and effective,
This review is from: Trangia 25 Non-Stick Cookset With Kettle & Spirit Burner (Sports)
I love Trangia stoves. Compared to cooking with a petrol / gasoline / Coleman fuel stove, cooking with a methyl alcohol stove takes a little longer, you have to carry a little more fuel, and you may need to bend a Trangia slightly to get it through a kayak hatch.
On the other hand a Trangia is light and has a wide base for stability. It has no moving parts to go wrong or tiny little jets to lose. Two litres of fuel should be enough for a week. If methyl alcohol leaks in your tent or rucksack it will cause no real harm, and if an alcohol stove falls over while burning it won't explode or seriously injure you.
