An Entertaining Illustrated Collection of Short Sherlockian Pieces,
This review is from: Sherlock in the Spring Time by Carr, Molly ( AUTHOR ) Dec-10-2012 Paperback (Paperback)
A good stocking filler as Christmas looms on the horizon for any Holmes and Watson fan, this tells the reader about an American's visit to the Reichenbach Falls, his encounter with some troublesome louts in the ruins of Netley Abbey - and a host of other things, including ammunition boots. Given the brevity of most of the items, a long piece about 'Work in Progress' might unbalance the whole but there is still a lot there to enjoy. The illustrations include a magnificent photograph of the Maiwand Lion and are, for the most part, good except for a stretch of water, said to be the original Boscombe Pool, in Herefordshire. Highly recommended!
