This review is from: Running Linux (Paperback)
Running Linux is a perfect introductory text, providing solid grounding in the day to day use of the Linux OS. Particularly good is the information on installation with or without another OS present on your machine. However I felt that overall, the book was a little light for anyone with previous exposure to a *NIX environment and doesn't contain much that would be new to anyone that has previously installed and configured a Linux OS (as generally you would have discovered much of what is contained within - the 'hard' way! ;-) Perfect for newbies, anyone else may want to look at other O'Reilly texts for more 'meat'...
