A good story buried somewhere...,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Communion Town (Paperback)
This author can obviously write and create a sense of place, but he deliberately sets out to confuse the reader with strange twists and inexplicable asides that do nothing but make the stories weird and unsatisfying. One review described this book as 'a gem for the dedicated reader'. Well, I tend to be dedicated to a novel because I am enjoying it and am compelled to know more; in Communion Town the reader has to be dedicated as they will be forced to keep reading simply to fathom what on earth is going on.
