This review is from: 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs: A Road Cyclist's Guide to Britain's Hills (Paperback)
This is a well thought out book although it could have gone so much further, but where do you say stop? The author himself says that it is not a definitive collection of nasty hills, as I know of, as do others, some which are worse than those included in the book. Each hill is set up for you with a location map and starts and finish points, and a wholly unrealistic time for me to beat, so that the reader can go and try the hills themselves; there is also a section for the plucky ones amongst us to record the dates that they achieved these summits. The book itself is quite compact so that it can go into your ruck/day sack so that you can get a final briefing prior to or record the date and time of your ascent.
