Would make a great introduction to programming,
I've been coding for about 6 months, in various languages, trying to get a feel for coding in general. I figured it was time to pick one or two languages and really focus on them to get my general understanding of programming much higher. This is my favourite programming book, out of quite a few I have. It is concise and clear, and to the point without being overly dry. The author has really nailed the tone; not too academic, but neither is it frivolous or too light hearted. All the important programming concepts are in here.
