Took a gamble on Brother. So far, so good!,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Brother MFCJ5910DW A3 Colour Inkjet Wireless Multifunction Printer (Print/Scan/Copy/Fax) (Accessory)
We needed to replace a cheap and frankly dreadful Lexmark all in one (which never worked that reliably and the ink cost a fortune). One of my colleagues had a Brother multi function device at home and commented on what good value the ink was so we took a punt on this one. Delivery was fast. It came in a big heavy box. Gold star for the fact there was no polystyrene and all the packing materials in the main appeared to be recyclable.
Set up was a doddle and it supports iPrint and Google Air Print out of the box. Wireless performance is fine. Not the fastest printer in the world and it makes some odd noises from time to time but in general it's working really well. Works great with both Windows PCs and Macs. Could live without the fax functionality (and to be honest it's presence is a bit too prominent in set up and menus).
The printer does double sided printing (duplex) which was a key requirement. Note this only works on A4.
Scanning over the air is easy and the presence of a auto-feeder for scanning A4 sheets is a real bonus.
Great that it is able to handle A3 printing and this works well. To load A3 paper requires the removal of the paper tray, expanding it by undoing some latches and re-inserting. This is already a BIG printer so make sure you have enough space to site it properly.
