Back to the future Blu Ray,
This review is from: Back to the Future Trilogy [Blu-ray] [Region Free] (Blu-ray)Have just watched all 3 movies on Blu Ray back to back on a Samsung 46 LCD,i also compared them to my DVD box set to see what improvements in picture quality there were.
If you have any concerns, dont worry, the Blu ray picture quality is superb, better than i expected for a mid 80s movie, take the opening sequence of the first movie, you can read the small print on the newspaper cuttings on the Docs wall and it just gets better after that.
It feels like the movie was made yesterday.
Had no problems playing all 3 movies and could fast forward and skip chapters fine too,not sure why some people have had probs, maybe its a Playstation fault,i used a Sony BD350.
Dont hesitate, buy it now,im off to watch all the amazing extras that come with it.

Does the DVD box set have all the special features (new documentaries, Doubleback/The Power Of Love video etc.) as the Blu-Ray release? so many have reviewed the Blu-Ray version for the DVD I don't even know what the DVD has in the way of special features.

Nice review, one remark though: it doesn't matter how old a movie is, most films aren't filmed digitally. Being recorded on negatives it's possible to digitalise to virtually any resolution of choice (cause of projection). Sorry if this isn't too clear because English isn't my native language, just passing on the info.
I just ordered these and I'm really looking forward to see them. And thank you cause your review convinced me.

I'm in the US, but my wife and her family are from Brazil, so I"m always looking for good blu-rays with Portuguese language options so that my inlaws can better enjoy my home theater and to help improve my children's Portuguese. If you have the UK version of the Back to the Future Trilogy, could you please confirm that the movies have Portuguese subtitles and/or audio? I already have the US version and there is no Portuguese, but I see it is listed on Amazon UK, but unfortunately Amazon's disc info is not known for being too reliable. Thanks!
