Brilliant office chair - Thought it was faulty at first (please read this review for troubleshooting),
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: RIO BROWN LUXURY RECLINING EXECUTIVE HIGH BACK OFFICE DESK CHAIR FAUX LEATHER SWIVEL (Office Product)
I will start first with the 2 issues I encountered (which others seem to have also) and the solutions for these.
I ordered 2 of these chairs, 1 black and 1 brown. Once I assembled both, the button on the black one did nothing, whereas on the brown one it held the back in a reclined position. (I notice from other reviews people have referred to the button as obsolete but this is not the case) As it turned out, this was simply due to a small kink in the wire underneath the seat, most likely caused during assembly. I simply ran my fingers along the length of the wire, squeezing it at all points to straighten it, and once I had finished the button was fully functional holding the seat in a reclined position of my choosing.
The 2nd issue was that 1 chair would rock backwards when I leaned back, whereas the other would make a metal on metal sound, would not rock back and seemed to be locked. After contacting the seller (Lissett from SonicOnline) I was advised that the lever which is used to adjust the seat height also locks the back in place. You can pull the lever out to the right to unlock the back, or push it in to the left to lock the back. Both problems solved!
The delivery of this item was very quick, about 5 days ahead of the estimate, and both were very well packaged. As mentioned, communication with the seller was excellent.
These chairs are very comfortable and easy to assemble. The instructions are simple to follow, with the only arms being a little bit fiddly to get in - I managed myself but this would be better as a 2 person job - you need to push down hard on the alan key to get the bolt to screw in securely.
I am very pleased with these chairs. They look good, feel good and for the price are great value.

How is your chair(s) holding up to regular use? - I am interesting in buying one but durability of the covering is unknown.

The Truth says:
Both of my chairs are still completely fine - and they were used as my main seating for 9 months whilst I pondered over which sofa to buy. So they have definitely stood the test of time and are just as comfortable as day 1! The cover has not split or cracked at all, and they are mechanically sound as well. Hope this helps you make your decision.
