Get a Dyson,
This review is from: Morphy Richards 73362 Pets Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner (Kitchen & Home)
Our Dyson broke down after 8yrs service,as our new house has wooden floors wih rugs,we chose the Cyclonic because of its variable brush height.
This turned out to be one of its few redeeming features. The cylinder may be 2 litres, but that is irrelavent as the filters need cleaning every 2-3 days.I washed them once, and the smell from the machine the next day was like rotting fish.So now I use a stiff brush, which creates a little dust cloud of its own.
The power lead is too short, with the Dyson I could plug it in at the bottom of the stairs and do the whole house, the Cylonic lead doesn't let me do the ground floor from one plug, unless its one in the living room.
The suction hose is fiddly to use, especially compared to a dyson, the brush attachment however is a nice shape, ideal for cleaning under sofas and doing stairs.
Another niggle was initially the sharp edges where the handle joined together. During the first few weeks of use I suffered numerous cuts to my fingers.
The adustable brush head is useful ,but for carpets you need to set it lower than recommended for decent results.
Its heavy and its awkward to carry.
Would I get another one, definitely not!
