I skipped a few articles toward the end as I felt the experience becoming a bit of a chore. Dave's observations at the end were quite entertaining and apt. If I were his old English teacher, I'd be spinning on my hub about the spelling errors in particular: every cyclist should be able to spell peloton even it "its" and "it's" are never mastered.
I found sometimes that the intros to articles were better than the articles themselves but my main point would be that Dave has plenty of material and lots of insight into the life of a cyclist and the whole would benefit from a reworking.
The story about doing the Tour stage in London had some good ideas in it that didn't quite come off (as his magazine editor alluded to): so I'm mildly disappointed by the book, but writing is much harder than riding...
