Review of Bluray Transfer,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Persuasion [Blu-ray] [Region Free] (Blu-ray)
I already have this Film on DVD and I liked it very much. This review is about the Bluray transfer, putting it bluntly it is rubbish to call this transfer High Definition. It is actually a worse picture than the DVD.It is very grainy most of the time.It seems like a straight dvd transfer to a Bluray disk, please Boycott this product until ITV get their act together and properly upgrade their films to high Definition.I would say their other films are poor transfers as well ie wuthering heights ,Emma,Northhanger Abbey, and Mansfield Park which are coming out on the 11/10/10 in the Bluray Format.I hope this helps.

Sadly the graininess was present in the DVD too. Check it and see.
I agree it's a poor conversion job. It doesn't even to have been deinterlaced properly from it's interlaced source. This is a basic video editing technique and it hasn't even been done. Poor, poor, poor.

I agree with Stevie "SGA." The DVD looks much better than the blu-ray. Extremely disappointed in the blu-ray. Grain all over the blu-ray.
