I think, they are quite good entertaining, very lovely character-players and the plot( I hope you can follow me) is narrated not in the original version, but in a very interesting and somehow strange way- e.g.in the beginning the story of Gollum on his way to Mordor is told!!!!!!! On the other hand very essntial chapters are neglegted-e.g.YOU HEAR NOTHING OF TOM BOMBADIL,etc.-unbelievable!Where is this world going to-hehe! Thus methinks I have to conclude my rating: 3crowns and not as that fine fellow above 5 crowns!

Dr. GRAHAM G. PEARSON says:
I agree with this writer. I did love the series, it is true, but omitting the best parts of the Fellowship of the Ring - the Old Forest, Tom Bombadil and the Wights of the Barrow Downs - is to my mind unforgivable. Also I found that the characterisation of Aragorn was very, very disappointing. It made him sound like a wimp with a lisp - not at all like Aragorn is made to appear in the books. He certainly does not here strike me as a charismatic leader of men. I, too, cannot give it more than 3* for these reasons.
