Unlucky thirteen for me,
This review is from: The Thirteenth Tale (Kindle Edition)
A slow tale about characterless people . Margaret the main character works in a book shop with her father and reads and sometimes writes - nothing else. She appears to have no other life or interests. The style is somewhat old fashioned and we are not told when it takes place. After a couple of chapters I frankly didn't care. I plodded on, as did the book, to the end which was totally un remarkable. By now, I had worked out the very obvious end which, after such a long book was rather hurried, as if the author too was bored by it.
