1.0 out of 5 stars There are at least 2 sunday strips missing, 14 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Complete Flash Gordon Library: On the Planet Mongo (Vol. 1) (Alex Raymond Sunday Strips) (Complete Flash Gordon Libr 1) (Hardcover)
At first I liked this edition very much for the quality of drawings, but I was really upset when I discovered that there are at least 2 sunday strips missing:
- 04 august 1934 strips are missing (at there place there are the duplicated strips of 09 february 36)
- 25 august 1934 strips are missing (at there place there are the duplicated strips of 18 august 1934)
I hope that Titan book is going to fix this as soon as possible and that they will replace the wrong copies at no extra cost.

I'm very disappointed with Amazon's attitude towards these misprinted copies; after contacting them, they are unwilling to do anything about replacing defective copies - their best suggestion was to return it to them, without receiving a refund or replacement - why bother then??

Did the misprint affected only a limited batch of the full print run? Because my copy does not present those misplaced pages (what's more, the publication dates listed don't match any actual publication dates).
So, what's the deal...??

Yes, it looks like mine is OK too, but the publication dates are also different (by one day) to those listed in the review.

Tiktok, I learned the answer after posting my comment.

There was indeed a first print run on April affected by the misprint and then recalled by the publisher because of it, and the book had a later, fixed reprint on September.

So, mystery solved. :-)

Yes indeed. And, interestingly, my copy is dated as a first edition published in May but still doesn't seem to have the errors!
