A good try -,
This review is from: The Night of the Triffids (Paperback)
It's a difficult task to write a sequel to somebody else's novel, nevertheless Mr Clark has achieved this and is to be commended. However, in comparison with The Day of the Triffids it is necessarily going to be a middling placed second and I found the ending a bit disappointing. However, having said that, I was pleased to have read the attempt and must ask therefore; what sort of an ending could anybody compose that would do justice to these magnificent plants? Of course, one could say this of any theme that initially breaks new ground like for example: The Daleks or The Trouble with Cephae, although of course the Daleks were an offshoot of Doctor Who and could be resurrected time and again.
