5.0 out of 5 stars Best bass for the size, 8 Oct 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Altec Lansing iNMotion iMT237 Orbit Speaker Docks (Electronics)
I've bought and lost a lot of travel speakers and this set is probably gives the best bass that I have found for the price/size.

Its pretty loud for its size, not really loud, but if you want something that doesn't sound distorted and tinny then I would seriously recommend it.

You only get one speaker so its mono - but lets face it - stereo image isn't exactly important for a travel speaker - personally I prefer being able to hear the bass guitar rather than having to imagine it. You could always buy two and a stereo splitter lead (not a headphone splitter - that gives you two sets of mono)

Good points:
Excellent bass for size
Size & weight
Good battery life
Clear sound
copes well with headphone or line outs
price

Bad points:
short 3.5mm lead
Slightly upper mid bias that(can be easily removed with a small tweak on the mp3/computer equaliser)
mono.

if you really want bass, try soundmatters' foxl. the orbit just doesn't cut it and even is larger than the foxl.
