I'm going to have to go against the other rave reviews of this album, which disappointed me. I'm a long-term Gedge fan, both Wedding Present and Cinerama. To me, this is like a sub-standard Cinerama album most of the time. I love a few songs, particularly 'Interstate 5', which is only spoilt by the bizarre Morricone extension, which to me has nothing to do with the song proper. There is another Spaghetti Western moment later on in the album too, which just comes across as silly self-indulgence. In general I would say the fast songs work, and the slow ones just have too many dreary arpeggios. Maybe it's a grower, but I'm already skipping half of the tracks when I put it on the cd player, which isn't a good sign.
