One of the weakest links of the 60's hitlists.,

In retrospect, this combo is to be remembered as a mediocre band from Dagenham, whose members may consider themselves fortunate to have achieved a couple of years of chart action. Mainly thriving on bland covers of contemporary hits, they didn't really bring on something new or even develop a distinctive sound. One exception being the single Candy Man/ I Wish I could Dance (Yes - yet another song with 'dance' in the title). They made their own arrangement for 'Candy Man' and moved thus successfully away from their usual formula of just copying the (Roy Orbison) original. The B-side I remember as a good-humored, echo-drenched ditty, sadly not present on this compilation. Instead we are offered 'Mr. Bass Man' and 'The Jimmy Brown song'. Frankly, I find both pretty unbearable to listen to today.
