This review is from: Until You're Mine (Paperback)
...I can write what happens in this book on the back of one...I know I am the odd one out here on my rating but here is why...
Firstly, there are too many viewpoints - three different characters which the story is taken from. I understand what the author is trying to do but the problem is the more people you add to the mix, the more diluted the story becomes. This is very clearly shown as the depth of the emotions and feelings is limited to scratching the surface in short punchy chapters. As a result I didn't feel anything towards any of the characters as I didn't feel enough emotion and feelings from them.
Secondly, and relating to the subject of my review - nothing happens in this book. The first 300 odd pages you can summarise in one sentence as the author builds the tension for the end. Problem again with this is that I got bored with reading nothing chapters as I struggled towards the conclusion of this book. I understand the need for tension building not expecting the world to end in chapter one, however you do need to give the reader something to grab onto.
I am genuinely surprised at the ratings and the reviews this book got on here as I found myself desperately getting to the end of the book. Unfortunately it was not due to the suspense, but the relief I have actually finished this dull book.
