This review is from: The Other Side of the Story (Paperback)
I was given this book by my mother who thought I would appreciate the Irish humour! First glance didn't inspire me, chick lit usually to be avoided I thought. How wrong, I picked it up last Sunday morning - a dreary cold day - perfect for a long read. I didn't anticipate the connection I would feel with the book and each of the characters, I could not stop. The book is clever, funny and touches on the choices and emotional consequences we all have to face. The three stories are woven together in a seamless way, the initial chapters lengthy and the later ones picking up pace and momentum, I couldnt turn the pages fast enough. I loved and loathed each of the characters at different times.
This is a really inspiring book for any budding author, but more so it is a ripping good read which will make you laugh and cry in equal measures. My first Marion Keyes novel but definitely not my last.
