This review is from: The Petrosian Invitation (Kindle Edition)
I found ‘The Petrosian Invitation’ to be an interesting read with curious and engaging characters, of which the four main people really were larger than life and really kept me turning the pages. To me it was definitely more Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ than ‘Twilight’, although with a somewhat softer and more modern feel to it. I loved the writer’s place descriptions in each building and country. You really felt like you could be there it was so vividly written.
This book was written with splashes of brilliance interspersed with ‘where are we going with this?’ I found a few things piqued my interest only to go nowhere and this, along with the rather bone jarring halt we came to at the end, sort of led me to think there will be a second book following shortly, at least I hope so because it left me with unanswered questions stirring around in my head!
This was overall a good read and I would recommend it for all who enjoy chicklit with a little bite under the cover. I personally love the Vampire genre and this has a lot going for it, just don’t read after dark! I can’t wait for TP Keating’s next release, and hopefully it’s The Petrosian…
