This review is from: Levv 3 Tier Glass Shelving Unit with Chrome Legs - Black (Office Product)
I purchased this item on the basis that it would set my TV at the proper height and give me a couple of shelves for the Virgin media box, the DVD player and sundries, without having to affix shelves to the wall. My reservations were that the black glass and chromed legs would be rather gaudy and better suit a more stylised interior. However, it all blended in remarkably well, the chrome legs acting like mirrors that reflected the surroundings, and acted almost like a self-camouflage. The black glass effectively hid the cables that run under the unit.
Assembly was straightforward enough. Even so, I would recommend that you have someone to assist in the build, since the long steel rods that are the structural core of the structure, can be awkward to align with the holes in the glass shelves, if you are the only one holding the glass, and aligning the rods with the holes, at the same time. After carefully engaging and starting the fairly coarse thread, be sure to tighten -- but not over-tighten -- the rods in their top-shelf locations. I used a pair of electrician's pliers, since I could not get a good enough hand-grip on the rods, and the pliers -- unlike vice-grips -- will slip before you can do any damage. An unexpected detail was that the metal pieces for the rods, sit beneath the the top surface of the top shelf. This gives the top surface a very good finish and look. Take care when screwing on the feet. They are a chrome-look finished plastic, and you could easily ruin the thread, if they are not properly engaged on the threaded steel rod.
When I finished the construction, the unit was not especially heavy, and I could easily set it in place.
