A Different Story,
By A Customer
This review is from: Flying Scotsman: The Graeme Obree Story (Paperback)
This is not the usual autobiography of a sportsman who tells you about his achievements and how great a guy he is.
If you're a cycling fan, then you probably don't need to be persuaded to but this book about a truly extraordinary cyclist (and engineer!), but as a tip it maybe helps explain why José Maria ("Chava") Jimenez died.
If you're not that interested in cycling, but just a sports fan in general (or just interested in human psychology), it will give you an insight into the dark side of the need for success which drives some sportsmen and women.
Not a literary classic, but its honesty is incedible.
The best sports autobiography since Pele: My life and the Beautiful Game. Probably even better.
