This review is from: Air Storm Z-Curve Bow (Toy)
Beware and think carefully about spending £20 on this product. I purchased a bow for my 7 year old son and the product was fantastic fun. The arrows fired well over the house and into the next door field and my son was very excited and just loved it. As other reviewers have mentioned, he lost the initial 3 arrows within the first couple of weeks so we brought a set of replacement arrows. At that point I would have rated the product as a high 5 stars and waxed lyrically about how great it was.
However, after only 5 weeks the blue elastic cord had perished and one half simply snapped making the bow useless. The other half is in just as bad a state, although it has not snapped - yet. There was no reason for this beyond the poor quality of the raw materials. I wrote to company explaining what had happened and including photos of the break. There was no response. I feel disappointed and let down in both the product and the after sales care of the company, so much so, I have taken the unusual step of writing a review here in order to warn others. This is not an isolated case. There are other reviews on this site and the US Amazon site all explaining the same failure in the quality of the elastic. Like them, I would summarise: great concept, great fun, very disappointing quality as paying £20 for something that breaks after a few weeks is not very economical. I do have a set of extra arrows out of the experience with no chance that these ones will be lost!

Dear Valued Customer
Thank you for buying one of our award winning Airstorm products through Amazon.co.uk.
We are very sorry to hear that you were not entirely satisfied with your Air Storm Z-Curve Bow.
The material used to create the cords is sensitive to UV exposure and if the product is left exposed for periods of time, the UV sensitivity can cause the material to deteriorate just like you have mentioned in your review. The product therefore does carry a warning advising customers of this on the box. We also suggest that customers do not use excessive force when pulling the cords back as this can lead to snapping.
Amazon.co.uk should be your first port of call for refunds or replacements. It would be interesting to find out which company you contacted for after sales care?
You will need to contact Amazon.co.uk directly if you require a refund or replacement or you can contact email@example.com for replacement bungees.

I had the same problem, the bands lasted longer for us, but I got spares from a place in Camberley which fitted perfectly.
