This review is from: Keep Your Joints Young: Banish your aches, pains and creaky joints (Paperback)
This is an extremely good book for when joints go wrong and you need to do something to set things right. Every part of the body is covered. The descriptions of how the joints work are very technical at times. But you don't have to read everything at once. After reading the introduction I focused on the joints that ached or felt stiff and did the relevant exercises. These are divided in three levels so you can repeat the first level as many times as you like before moving to the next one. The important thing is to exercise regularly. My favourite beginners' exercise is 'the right angle' which involves stretching your legs against the wall while the upper part of the body is horizontal. It gives you a wonderful sense of relaxation. I do it on my bed every night before I go to sleep. This is not the author's recommendation but it works for me.
It's certainly worth invensting in this book because it can be referred to time and time again.
