This review is from: Crescendo (Hardcover)
It's storyline is good with a lot of surprises for the reader. What actually made me love this book (and not the prequel) was the characters. In the previous book, the characters weren't so well described and their motives were so confusing, but in this books although you find yourself reconsider what lies in the heart of every character, their motives even though they may change ,are clear.
But the thing that made me adore this book is the realistic heroes. They may love each but not in the honeylike way ,"Oh,I can not live without you, etc", they consider their options and they make their own decisions. More surprisingly the main heroine is a strong and quite independent one ,something that can be said for the majority of the books that had been published aiming for the same audience as Crescendo. She may gets a lot of help sometimes like miracusly saved once but she remains independent and strong .And she tries not to be clinging to her love interest so much, makes her own mistakes and big ones.
The book is funny and tragic ,it can make you laugh aloud or swear along the heroine. I think it has succeeded one at least of its purposes.
